Aphrodisiac Chocolate Coated Figs
I’ve been experimenting with food with aphrodisiac properties for the Spring Retreats, to celebrate fertility (birthing a child or birthing an amazing idea).
Some interesting info:
Cacao- very high in PEA, the “love chemical,” which releases dopamine in the pleasure centers of the brain and peaks during orgasm.
Maca- can lowers stress levels and boosts libido in both men and women.
Figs- which in almost every culture been associated with fertility. Figs are filled with antioxidants, flavonoids, fiber and potassium.
Chili- high in capsaicin which improve libido.
Almonds- provide abundant doses of vitamin E and magnesium so you have the stamina to share your love.
Now let’s make it!
300 gm small dry figs
For the chocolate:
60 gm cacao butter
20 gm coconut butter
1 tbsp maple syrup/honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of cayenne chili
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup almond (roasted)- keep half for decoration
25 gm raw cacao powder
20 gm maca
20 gm lucuma
Melt the cacao and coconut butter, grind the almond to medium size,
then mix all the ingredients.
Hold the top of the figs and swirl in the chocolate, until covered.
Place on peace of waxed paper.
Sprinkle a little sea salt over chocolate covered fig, it’s divine but optional.
Refrigerate until chocolate has set.
May you remember that you are always loved x
