Midlife Reset: What this is about
When we, women, move into our 40s, there is a shift. Hormonal changes begin to alter how you feel in your body, how you respond emotionally, and what you can tolerate in your life. The way you have been living, the pace you have been holding, the roles you have carried, and the way you have given your energy start to feel misaligned. What used to work for you no longer works in the same way, not your tolerance or the direction you want to go.
This is not just a physical change. It is a deeper transition that affects how you relate to yourself, your life, and your place in the world. It is a movement from the householder phase, where you have been taking care of everybody else, holding everything together, managing responsibilities, into the Forest dweller stage of life, as they call it in the Vedic tradition, something else that asks more of you inwardly. There is more need for inner exploration. There is more need to understand yourself in a new way. Some things worked for you physically, mentally, and even spiritually that simply do not work anymore because your needs are changing.
The meaning of life in the dictionary is constant change!
Your needs are shifting across the fundamental areas of your life.
Financially, there is a need to create stability in a different way. Not just in terms of income, but in your relationship with money, your nervous system, and how you respond to pressure and responsibility. The way you have been pushing, holding, and managing is no longer sustainable. There is a need to regulate, to create a structure that allows you to feel calmer, more supported, and more stable in how you live.
Sexually, there is a shift in your relationship to desire. Libido may change, but more importantly, your connection to pleasure, intimacy, and expression needs to be understood differently. What you have been doing out of habit, expectation, or duty may no longer feel true. There is a need to reconnect with yourself and understand what turns you on, and it’s not always sex.
Service and purpose- In how you show up in the world, your purpose begins to change. You may have spent years being a mother, taking care of others, holding the family, and meeting expectations. Now there is a call to look at what else is there for you. What are your values. Where are you going. How do you want to express yourself in the world beyond the roles you have been in.
And alongside all of this, there is a deeper need for meaning. A need to feel connected to something more real, more aligned, more truthful. For some this is spiritual. For others it is simply a need to feel that their life has direction and depth beyond what has been.
There is a shedding that happens here. A form of identity that was built around roles, responsibilities, and what you thought you knew about yourself begins to fall away. It can feel like something is dying, because in many ways it is. What you thought was stable is no longer relevant in the same way. This is where many women feel lost, uncertain, or disconnected.
This is also where something new can begin, if there is structure to move through it.
This work is grounded in the understanding that your needs are changing across the four fundamental human needs, the Purushartha.
Your need for stability, how you hold yourself financially, physically, and emotionally.
Your need for desire, how you relate to sexuality, pleasure, and creative energy.
Your need for release, what you are ready to let go of in identity, behaviour, and expectation.
Your need for direction, how you choose to live, contribute, and move forward.
The Midlife Reset is a structured 30-day process where you work through these areas in a grounded, practical way. You are not just learning about them. You are applying them to your life, seeing where things are no longer working, and beginning to make changes that reflect who you are becoming.
You are given guidance, practices, and space to reflect, but also to act. To look honestly at how you live, how you make decisions, how you relate to money, to your body, to your desires, and to your direction. This is about creating a new structure that supports you in the next phase of your life, not repeating the one that is no longer sustainable.
Who this is for
This is for women after 40 who recognise that something is shifting and cannot continue in the same way.
Women who have been holding a lot for a long time and feel that the way they have been living is no longer aligned.
Women who feel changes in their body, their energy, their sexuality, their relationship with money, or their sense of purpose, and want to understand what is happening rather than ignore it.
Women who are ready to stop overriding themselves and begin to listen, reflect, and make changes.
Women who want structure, not just ideas, and are willing to engage with their lives honestly.
This is not about adding more to your life.
It is about understanding what needs to change and beginning to live accordingly.

“The mentorship transformed my understanding of perimenopause. I now feel more balanced and connected to myself. Rina’s guidance is compassionate and empowering.” Sarah M., yoga teacher, Frome.
“Rina’s calm and containing presence has helped me through a very difficult time in my life. She is so knowledgeable on multiple levels about menopause, life stages, healing and how to navigate this important stage of life. I am so grateful for the time I have spent with Rina, and I feel so much better for it.Lucy Robertson-Rotchie, psychotherapist, LondonI loved the clarity and structure of the course and how Rina presented it in a very fluid and accessible way. Our exercises/journaling gave us the space to go deeper, and splitting it over a few sessions gave us time to digest and reflect on what we covered. Rina has been generous with references, and we have so much to discover… all in good time! I really think this course is an essential support for anyone approaching this initiation and offers a template for other forms of initiations we may be going through.I look forward to integrating and sharing these precious seeds you’ve sown in me.

With Rina Golan and Verity Owers, Integrative Counsellor, MBACP (Accred) Specialising in bereavement & grief support
According to Ayurveda (a system of traditional Indian medicine) everything in the universe is made up of five basic elements. These five elements are Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jal), Fire (Agni), Air (Vayu) and Space (Aakash). Collectively these elements are known as Panchmahabhuta. Drawing on Rina’s background in holistic, yogic and Ayurvedic medicine alongside Verity’s many years working therapeutically with clients, we will use these five elements as a framework to explore grief. Whether as a result of a significant loss (like bereavement, redundancy or divorce) or as a natural part of our day-to-day life, we will all experience grief at some point. In our busy existence, we don’t always get time to work through that grief or to take advantage of the transformation that can occur when we have the space to be with it. The aim of this session is to give participants that time and space. As well as considering what grief is and some of the physical, mental, emotional and other ways it can manifest, there will be space for participants to explore their own grief and feelings, as well as learn practical tips, tools and suggestions for managing grief holistically.
During the session:
* Please note that while the session will include time for sharing of thoughts and feelings which may be therapeutic, it is not to be considered as therapy or a counselling session. There will be signposting on to further support and resources which will be included as a handout to take away.*
If you’ve loved and lost, or are supporting someone who is grieving, then this workshop is for you. Please feel welcome to get in touch if you would like any more info before booking.
“Tending grief is a rejuvenating practice. Cry sometimes, talk about your losses, and let death be present in your daily life. Straight after grief practice, rise again, remember your dreams, remember what you are here to share till your last breath.” Rina Golan

Forest Dweller Reset
3-Month Private Mentorship
Menopause is not a disease.
It is not a pathology to fix.
It is a natural transition your body has always been designed to go through.
But it requires a different way of living.
For thousands of years, systems like Ayurveda understood this stage as a shift into a new season of life, one that asks for different rhythms, different nourishment, and a different relationship to yourself.
When this transition is unsupported, it feels like burnout, anxiety, and loss of direction.
When it is structured properly, it becomes a phase of strength, clarity, and deeper alignment.
You are not losing yourself.
You are being asked to live differently.
Who this is for
This is for women 40+ navigating perimenopause or menopause who are experiencing:
The transition you are in
In the Vedic framework, this stage is called Vanaprastha, the forest dweller phase.
It is not about stepping away from life.
It is about returning to your essence.
But in modern life, this transition happens in bodies that are overstimulated, undernourished, and chronically stressed.
Before clarity can emerge, the body and nervous system must stabilise.
What we work on
This is a structured 3-month recalibration.

Working together
This is for women who are ready to take this stage of life seriously and work with it properly.
“Rina’s calm and containing presence supported me through a very challenging stage of menopause. Her depth of knowledge, both practical and psychological, helped me understand what was happening in my body and mind in a completely different way.
Through our work together, I felt more stable and clearer, I sleep better and am more able to navigate this transition with confidence. I’m deeply grateful for the space she held and the guidance she offered.”
Lucy Robertson-Ritchie
Tanya Etheridge, Barrister, London.
“Over the 12 weeks, I felt safe and nurtured and was able to express myself, completely knowing that I was not being judged. Rina taught me how to focus on the things that mattered to me the most, as well as using my strengths to challenge my weaknesses, which would help me on my path. I was encouraged to journal every day- one of the best things anyone can ever do. It’s like releasing everything off your chest, and somehow you can see and think more clearly.
