Sacred Reset

Before I share with you about the two paths to healing: one in the English countryside, one by the river Ganga. I wanted to wish you that this adventurous, Sagittarius full moon will bring you closer to your wildest dreams, in divine timing (take a moment to write your vision).

I’ve been coming to India since 2000. Most winters I’ve spent there.

Sometimes I ask myself why? It’s dirty. It’s chaos, an organised chaos. And it’s a deep connection to being rewired.

India is impossible to civilise, after all, civilised is the opposite of natural, wild.

I love that our need for control has no chance in India. India is the land of karma—you don’t get what you want, you get what you need to grow. What you put out there, you get an immidiate lesson. Otherwise, a cow will walk towards you, a scooter (or skooty, as they call it here) will fly past, or a monkey might steal your food.

Every day, you’re reminded that magic and tragic always come together, when life is not ‘manicured’ like the dance of Shiva- poverty, destruction, and utter rapture from being gifted with another breath, another sunrise, another mouth-watering mango lassi all live together.

The simple life of daily yoga, smell of spices, walking where at least ten people truly bow to the divine in you with namaste—you feel part of  humanity. Messy and heart-aching.

One of the transformative things I go through is the 21-day panchakarma treatment every year keeps my autoimmune condition in balance —the care, the prayer for your wellbeing, the holding of your hand to walk you to your room, the welcoming smiles.

This is real health care.

Water or warm oil drizzled on your body for an hour, and you cry, not because of pain, but because it takes you to a very old memory of being bathed by your mother.

Panchakarma soothes the tension and nurtures you back to safety. A real care for the body, the mind, and the soul.

So I’m creating a panchakarma retreat, rejuvenation clinics, in the UK.
