Important reminder for mad times

Sep 13, 2024

I hope you are finding time for yourself after the hectic summer months.

We are living in very uncertain times, hardly recovering from the covid trauma, with wars everywhere and the cost of living rising; our gentle nervous system paying the price.
It feels like we are going through a collective ‘dark night of the soul’, but stay hopeful, friends. After every dark night, the dawn will arrive.

No one has answers, but the yogis told us 3000 years ago that we can’t change our life circumstances but can change how we deal with them.

We start by caring for the body- return to your eating habits (you’ll find many yummy recipes on the website).

Guard your mind: minimise the amount of news you ingest.
Practice mindfulness to stay in the present moment (even 10 minutes can make a difference).
I know many therapists will ask you to dig into the past, but Ayurvedic psychology and Jung thought that most of the problems are in this moment, and those problems will not be solved by digging into the past.

Make sure you surround yourself with people who soothe your nervous system, bring you peace, and make you feel great. Negativity can be contagious.

Schedule things that nourish your soul—praying, meditating, being in nature, writing your manifesto, or inspiring others.
